Course Description

Creative Dance I - II

(Früherziehung, 4-5 Jahre alt)
This course is directed to little children between 4 and 5 years old. Children of this age are very vulnerable and pure, therefore, as teacher and mother, I find the introduction of dance very important. The Creative dance can help little students, slowly and gradually through a playful manner to discover the fascinating world of dance and at the same time receiving all benefits that dance can offer like imagination, musicality, coordination, strength, creativity, confidence, concentration, body awareness and team work, are a few we can mention.

Ballet for Children I - II

(Levels I-II, 6-7 Jahre alt)
This course is directed to 6 and 7 years old children. The children of this age have started the elementary school and they are physically and mentally prepared to start learning the basics of the Ballet technique (Vaganova Method). For example, positions, alignment, posture with small combinations at the barre and in the center, small choreographies, improvisation and many more.

Ballet for Children and Teenagers

(8-17 years old)
The young dancers according to their age and their physical conditions are able to learn and perform more challenging combinations and choreographies. From the age of 12, girls are able to start dancing on point shoes, after being approved from their ballet teacher. The decision of whether one is ready to go on pointe is determined by assessing the student’s strength and physical development. Dancing on points is a dream of many young girls and our long experience can help them, slowly and carefully to enjoy this experience and to achieve this dream.

Boys Ballet

This course is directed only to boys. This kind of training is very challenging and requires strength and discipline. Many Sports, like Basketball, football etc. have integrated ballet training into their weekly program because is a great exercise for boys that not only can learn how to jump high, and make many pirouettes but can help them build their physical condition and at the same time to feel the joy of dance. The groups will be set according the age and the physical condition.

Adults Ballet

This course is designed for adults who would like to train with the ballet technique. The harmonic exercises help them to build their muscles strength, their coordination, condition, stability, alignment, posture and many more.

Adults Ballet (Beginners)

This course is specially designed for adults who have a passion and desire to learn ballet but have no prior dance experience. The classes provide a welcoming and friendly environment, with individualized instruction and attention, which exposes you to the core fundamentals of ballet .Throughout this course you will learn the basic body positions, core ballet exercises, how to stand at the barre, in the center with appropriate body alignment and posture and moving across the floor, as well as an introduction to ballet terminology.

Advance Ballet

This is an advanced intensive course. Students can work in detail the ballet technique, flexibility, point work as well as choreographies, (variations of the Classical repertoire) pas de deux, and many more. The decision of whether one is ready to follow this course is determined by assessing the student’s strength and physical development.

Modern Dance

Born in the early 20th century, modern dance focuses on a dancer's own interpretations instead of structured steps, as in traditional ballet dancing. Modern dancers reject the limitations of classical ballet and favor movements derived from the expression of their inner feelings.
An important characteristic of modern dance, in opposition to ballet, is the deliberate use of gravity. Whereas classical ballet dancers strive to be light and airy on their feet, modern dancers often use their body weight to enhance movement. Leader in Modern Dance Movement is the «Fall and Recovery», contractions, rolling on the floor and many more.
It is a great training and important for every student or professional dancer who wants to perfect his technique exploring new ways of movement.

Pilates

Pilates is a highly effective training system that is performed slowly and precisely in harmony with deep, conscious breathing and high concentration. The ultimate goal is to build a strong and stable body center.

Ballet - Pilates for Mums and Babys (Block Course)

After the pregnancy is very important for all new mothers to train their pelvic floor, back and abdominal muscles. After a normal birth you should wait 4-6 weeks before you will start the training. If you had a cesarean then it takes almost 3 months until you will be ready for it.
The training combines the harmonic Ballet technique at the Barre and the Pilates Training on the Mat helping the participant to stabilize, coordinate, build muscles strength and to achieve the right posture. Your babies are welcome to be there with you and according to their needs you can breastfeed them or make a break.
What you need to bring with you: A towel, something to drink, comfortable sport clothes (no shoes, only socks), baby blanket, baby carrier.

PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique)

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best. One of the important elements used in the PBT method is muscle memory which helps to improve students' understanding of core stability, weight placement and alignment. Each exercise in the PBT program has been developed with care and guidance by Marie Walton-Mahon alongwith a team of physiotherapists.

Uniform

The right dance wear is very important for the training because not only helps the teachers to correct the students, but also the students themselves can have a better view of their body while dancing. Very important is the hairstyling as well, where the hair must be fixed to not disturb. The complete picture of a dance class, trains the discipline and the appreciation of the lessons and helps the students to pay attention to their own appearance during the performances as well.
